The number: Similarweb's estimate of visits in September 2026 that went from the site to a checkout payment page. Two clicks by one person count twice; opening checkout is not paying, so this is not revenue.
Checkouts: checkout / buy / pay / invoice.stripe.com, Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, Polar, Creem, Whop.
Filters: ≥ 3,000 checkout visits in September; sites with more than 50% paid traffic removed; big companies, funded startups, enterprise B2B, marketplaces and affiliate-driven tools removed after checking each site.
Five new-user sources: each site gets one class. September traffic is split into non-brand search (SEO), AI assistants (GEO), organic social, messaging shares (viral) and referrals/email/paid (other). Direct and brand-search visits come from people who already know the product: they count as viral only when the site has visible sharing mechanics, otherwise they are left out. The largest share wins; under 5% means Other.
September website visits: always on Similarweb's scale. The public page gives a Jul–Sep total, split into September using Semrush's monthly trend when available, otherwise month-over-month change; sites without visits are estimated from global rank. Semrush numbers run 3–4× Similarweb's, so they are only used for calibration.
Traffic sources: 163 sites use Semrush's public source breakdown (desktop). Others use Similarweb's measured top-channel share, with the 2nd and 3rd channels estimated at 75% and 15% of the remainder (fitted on Semrush data).
